DR. VICTORIA GRADY
President and Principal Consultant
Dr. Victoria M Grady is the Academic Director of the MBA/MSM Graduate Programs and Assistant Professor of Management/Organizational Behavior in the School of Business at George Mason University. Victoria’s research portfolio focuses on the behavioral implications of organizations introducing and implementing organizational change. Her unique emphasis is the role of Attachment Behavior and Transitional Objects within the change process.
Victoria’s research includes work with United States (U.S.) Federal Government Agencies, Private and Public Healthcare Organizations in the U.S. and abroad, K-12 and Higher Education Institutions, Nuclear Power Plants, and Non-Profit Associations.
Victoria’s original research focused on defining the organizational symptoms of Attachment Behavior and the related impact on the change process. Recently, she completed a collaborative research pilot with colleagues in the United Kingdom (U.K.) to actively develop and define Attachment Styles in organizations.
Recent research publications can be found on Bloomberg News, GovExec.com, the Journal of Change Management, and The Public Manager. She is co-author of a new book, Workplace Attachment: Managing Beneath the Surface, Routledge Publishing, 2019; co-author of The Pivot Point: Success in Organizational Change, Morgan-James Publishing, 2013; co-author of Family Capitalism: Best Practices in Ownership and Leadership, Routledge Publishing, 2017.
DR. JAMES GRADY
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. James Grady received his D.M.D. at the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 1971 and his residency training and a Master of Science in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1974. Dr. Grady was the Founder and Managing Partner at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of East Alabama from 1976 to 2009. He is currently retired from active practice. Since retiring he has received a Master’s Degree in Psychology /Organizational Psychology online from Capella University in 2019.
In his practice and as an avocation, for nearly fifty years Dr. Grady has been a keen observer and student of behavior. This has provided him the opportunity to do research and speculate on the various circles of cause and effect related to various stressors and the impact they have had on chronic pain patients, employees, and colleagues and more recently in various educational, medical, corporate, and governmental institutions. These interests have led him on what he describes as a fascinating journey of discovery, in his field of practice, and in addition, have provided deep insights regarding human behavior and organizational relationships.
Dr. Grady remains actively involved in PivotPoint and continues to aggressively pursue his interests and passions toward a more comprehensive understanding of human behavior at its intersection with organizational culture and change. He is published in three books, and numerous peer-reviewed journals and frequently makes presentations to professional and organizational groups.
W. Michael Grady
Management Advisor
W. Michael Grady is Principal & Senior Managing Director for Sequence Financial Specialists LLC (“Sequence”), a FINRA licensed Broker-Dealer formed to provide investment banking and advisory services. Sequence has three OSJ locations in Charleston, SC, Tampa, FL and Florence, SC. Michael has over 30 years’ experience in services related to mergers and acquisitions. His responsibilities include assisting closely held companies with developing and executing a plan for buying or selling, debt restructure, valuation analysis, negotiating, deal structure and other aspects of a merger and acquisitions transaction and raising needed capital. Previously, Michael worked for 40 years as a CPA where he was a founding partner in regional CPA firm, WebsterRogers LLP.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Concentration in Accounting from East Carolina University and a Master of Accounting from the University of Alabama. He holds FINRA Series 7, 79, 24 and 63 licenses and is a Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA).
